Steward's Report
Jazzy Osti, Cali Loving and Mexican Raider were slow to begin. Tik Tok Boom crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Miss Yang and Rick The Rock. Rick The Rock checked off Miss Yang approaching the first turn. Miss Yang eased on the first turn. Jazzy Osti checked off Tik Tok Boom on the first turn and as a result collided with Whispered Words. Jazzy Osti and Whispered Words collided on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to D Bunn, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Yang. Miss Yang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the lower neck and right shoulder, a 10 stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Miss Yang with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
