Steward's Report
This event was delayed by three minutes due to a mechanical problem with the lure.
A pre race sample was taken from Arctic Osti.
Arcadia Trivett, Crymelon Talon and Arctic Osti were slow to begin. Dewana Cheque checked off Crymelon Sunrise approaching the first turn, checking Arcadia Trivett and Crymelon Talon. Dewana Cheque and Arcadia Trivett collided approaching the home turn. Arctic Osti raced wide on the home turn. Osti's Victory checked off Leefull Shot in the home straight. Osti's Victory eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to M Neile, the trainer of the greyhound Osti's Victory. Osti's Victory was vetted and re-vetted following event eight. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right pencil, a 10 stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Osti's Victory with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
