Steward's Report
Compton Peggy – Late scratching at 6:05pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right foreleg injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Cawbourne Wolf was slow to begin. Lovin’ The Sun and Cawbournev Pin collided approaching the first turn. Lovin‘ The Sun crossed out on the home turn and collided with Cawbourne Pin checking Lovin’ The Sun, severely checking Cawbourne Pin and Cawbourne Wolf, Cawbourne Pin fell as a result.
Cawbourne Pin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist and an abrasion on the left wrist and left thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Cawbourne Wolf underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a spike wound on the left radius. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments
Rasputin – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sale on 19/12/21. Rasputin was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Rasputin was cleared to race. A sample was taken for analysis.
