Marley Griff was slow to begin.  Minardo was checked off Kira’s Choice approaching the first turn.  Marley Griff and Romarosa collided approaching the first turn checking Romarosa which faltered and subsequently tailed off.  Starship Venus and Hardaway Gwennie collided on the first turn.  Kira’s Choice raced wide from the first turn to the home turn. Bagshot Bullet was checked off Minardo on the home turn.

Romarosa underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Raw Panic and Rev Up Chloe were quick to begin.  Matchbox Lady and Flight Chaser collided soon after the start.  Rev Up Chloe crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Flight Chaser.  Rev Up Chloe and Latchi’s Girl collided on the first turn checking Latchi’s Girl.  Ella Grace, Latchi’s Girl and Giovani raced wide on the first turn.  Ella Grace was checked off Giovani on the home turn.  Flight Chaser brushed the running rail on the home turn.  Rev Up Chloe raced wide entering the home straight.  GiovanI crossed to the rail entering the home straight checking Flight Chaser.  Matchbox Lady and Ella Grace collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Huntly Hoon and Unique Roman were quick to begin.  Reiko Cleo was slow to begin.  Ebony Tara and Pat The Tiger collided soon after the start.  Ebony Tara was checked off Huntly Hoon on the first turn checking Ebony Tara and Pat The Tiger.  Reiko Cleo and Janine’s Desire collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Pat The Tiger was checked off Unique Roman in the home straight.  Reiko Cleo raced wide in the home straight.

Milly May was quick to begin.  Aston Marley, Pacific Rock and Fat Cracker collided approaching the first turn checking Pacific Rock.  Aston Marley and Aunty Mary collided on the first turn checking Aunty Mary.  Aunty Mary and Fat Cracker collided on the first turn.  Milly May and Joyous Hope collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Salut Sideways crossed out on the home turn and checked off Pacific Rock. Joyous Hope and Milly May collided entering the home straight.

Joyous Hope underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on a left front toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Nangar Ellie was quick to begin.  Crowdza Blest was checked off Jack’s Cracker approaching the first turn. Jack’s Cracker and Cryptic Vixen collided on the first turn.  Luna Cruz and Madam Chelsea collided on the second turn.  Raptor and Nangar Ellie collided on the second turn.  Crowdza Blest was checked off Nangar Ellie in the back straight. Cryptic Vixen and Crowdza Blest collided approaching the home turn.  Luna Cruz and Madam Chelsea collided entering the home straight.

Jack‘s Cracker underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. David Kerr regarding the racing manners of Jack‘s A Cracker on the third turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Kerr, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the third turn.

Princess Lace was quick to begin.  Missy’s Hand and Bit Of Pepper collided approaching the first turn.  Joyous Courage was checked off Princess Lace on the first turn.  Apache Runner and Missy’s Hand collided on the first turn causing Missy‘s Hand to brush the running rail.  Joyous Courage and Apache Runner collided on the first turn.  Joyous Courage and Eynesbury Flyer collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Apache Runner and Superior Jessica collided on the home turn.

Dawn Spirit was quick to begin.  Zipping Jazz and Pack Of Jokers collided soon after the start. Riccarton Rick and Midnight Vandal collided on the first turn.  Pack Of Jokers and Midnight Vandal collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Riccarton Rick and Chop Scotch collided approaching the home turn.

Ms. Olivia Cartechini requested an early race endorsement for Maverick Sandy.  The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarIan.  Maverick Sandy will compete in early races until further notice.

Why Not Rose was quick to begin.  Miss Angel Di was checked off Baby Pechey on the first turn. Baby Pechey and Pacific Bar collided on the first turn checking Baby Pechey.  Miss Angel Di and Capitulate collided on the home turn.  Baggy’s Gold was checked off Pacific Bar on the home turn. Miss Angel Di and Baby Pechey collided entering the home straight. Why Not Rose and Hot Diesel collided several times in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. David Plumridge regarding the racing manners of Hot Diesel approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Plumridge, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Compton Peggy – Late scratching at 6:05pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right foreleg injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Cawbourne Wolf was slow to begin.  Lovin’ The Sun and Cawbournev Pin collided approaching the first turn.  Lovin‘ The Sun crossed out on the home turn and collided with Cawbourne Pin checking Lovin’ The Sun, severely checking Cawbourne Pin and Cawbourne Wolf, Cawbourne Pin fell as a result.

Cawbourne Pin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist and an abrasion on the left wrist and left thigh.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Cawbourne Wolf underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a spike wound on the left radius.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Rasputin – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sale on 19/12/21. Rasputin was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Rasputin was cleared to race. A sample was taken for analysis.
