A pre-race sample was taken from Hot Diesel.
Ms. Olivia Cartechini requested an early race endorsement for Maverick Sandy. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarIan. Maverick Sandy will compete in early races until further notice.
Why Not Rose was quick to begin. Miss Angel Di was checked off Baby Pechey on the first turn. Baby Pechey and Pacific Bar collided on the first turn checking Baby Pechey. Miss Angel Di and Capitulate collided on the home turn. Baggy’s Gold was checked off Pacific Bar on the home turn. Miss Angel Di and Baby Pechey collided entering the home straight. Why Not Rose and Hot Diesel collided several times in the home straight.
Hot Diesel underwent a post race veterinary examination and noapparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. David Plumridge regarding the racing manners of Hot Diesel approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr. Plumridge, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
