All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.3 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.4 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Claretown Ryan, Hillbilly Blaze and Banjo Son collided soon after the start checking Hillbilly Blaze and Banjo Son. Claretown Ryan and Operatic Blue collided approaching the first turn. Claretown Ryan and Code In collided on the first turn checking Banjo Son, Code In, Operatic Blue and Inky's Fireball. Banjo Son checked off Operatic Blue approaching the home turn. Hillbilly Blaze and Buckle Up raced wide on the home turn.

Buckle Up underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Destini Hallmark was slow to begin.

Storm Raptor and Little Angel collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Bushman's Prayer and Liverpool Street collided approaching the first turn checking Bushman's Prayer and Storm Raptor. Liverpool Street and Destini Hallmark collided approaching the home turn.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward, Mr C. Blake did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

La Blonde – New declared weight of 27.4 kg, last raced at 26.2 kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zoe Zoomer.

La Blonde and Ben Charlie were slow to begin.

Mr. Blitz, Zoe Zoomer and Letterfrack Lady collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Ben Charlie and Letterfrack Lady collided on the first turn checking Letterfrack Lady.

Minnie The Minx – New declared weight of 28.3 kg, last raced at 29.5 kg.

Our Danny, Minnie The Minx, Amber Beauty and Was A Soldier collided soon after the start checking all four greyhounds. Glenore Lass galloped on the heels of Rose Danae on the first turn checking Glenore Lass, Was A Soldier and Rose Danae. Glenore Lass and Amber Beauty collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Our Danny and Minnie The Minx collided approaching the home turn checking Minnie The Minx. Glenore Lass and Amber Beauty collided in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Miss Belle - winner of the event.

Al's Draw Four and On The Run collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. On The Run and Drop A Line collided on the first turn severely checking Drop A Line and Black Beaver. Yulong Lap and Call Me Molly collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.

McIvor Stretch was quick to begin.

Birdbrook checked off Crown Jimmy approaching the first turn. Birdbrook and McIvor Stretch raced wide in the home straight.

Slingshot Zoe, Chasing Honey and Spearhead Joe collided soon after the start. Chasing Honey and Spearhead Joe collided on the first turn checking Chasing Honey. Chasing Honey galloped on the heels of Slingshot Zoe approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

I'm Easy Boys was quick to begin.

Resurrection, Block Star, Notoriety and Aussie Built collided on the first turn. Block Star and Notoriety collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Block Star, Notoriety and No Leads collided approaching the home turn checking Block Star.

A pre-race sample was taken from Afro Puff. 

Albert's Magic was slow to begin.

Champ Duran and Soho Express collided soon after the start checking Soho Expresso. Soho Expresso and Afro Puff collided approaching the first turn checking Soho Expresso. Soho Expresso contacted the running rail on the first turn. Albert's Magic, Champ Duran, Afro Puff and False Alarm collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Champ Duran checked off Afro Puff approaching the home turn and collided with Soho Expresso checking Soho Expresos. Albert's Magic and False Alarm collided on the home turn checking Albert's Magic.

Soho Expresso underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury, a laceration to the tail and spike wound to the left hind paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Following this event and acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at 5.56pm due to continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around Junortoun.  Due to safety concerns the meeting was abandoned at 6.20pm.
