Naughty Shorty was very slow to begin (4L).
Ruby Yap, Aston Khan and Candlelight Jazz collided on the first turn checking Aston Khan which stumbled and fell.. Zambora Jay and Charlott's Blaze collided approaching the home turn causing Zambora Jay to race wide. Ruby Yap and Charlott's Blaze collided on the home turn. Ruby Yap and Candleight Jazz collided approaching the winning post.
Aston Khan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to left hindleg biceps muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
