In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 29.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Blue Tequila, Rock Singer and Lap To Far were quick to begin.

Fabriola Yanis and Divine Calling collided on the first turn checking Fabriola Yanis. Rock Singer and Lap To Far collided entering the back straight. Divine Calling checked off Rock Singer entering the back straight checking Gypsy Seymour and Marlee Mikado.

Double Top, Big Boy Duke, Cawbourne Marto, That's Life and King Kenny collided on the first turn checking Double Top, Big Boy Duke and Cawbourne Marto.

Was A Soldier and Deck Forty Nine were slow to begin.

Texicali Velvet, Was A Soldier, Flying Mercedes and Seabrook Dow collided on the first turn checking Texicali Velvet, Flying Mercedes and Seabrook Dow. Flying Mercedes and Quiz Pop collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Flying Mercedes raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Aston Rafael Late scratching at 2.27pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to dehydration A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Texicali Master was slow to begin. Seabrook Martin and Devilish John were very slow to begin (3L).

Aston Select and Loch collided on the first turn checking Loch.

Crown Jimmy checked off McIvor Jack on the home turn and collided with Loch checking McIvor Jack and Lock.

Golden Gusset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the medial tibia. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Atomic Cabang, I'm A Psycho, Bewitching and Pot Luck Chuck collided on the first turn checking I'm A Psycho and Atomic Cabang. Atomic Cabang, Nangar Ellie, Ms. Mighty Mouse and Bewitching collided on the second turn checking Nangar Ellie, Ms. Mighty Mouse and Bewitching.

Jet Like Rico, Cool Lady and Stirling Lights were quick to begin.

Jet Like Rico and Cool Lady collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Twisted Again, Inside Fifty, Red Taltarni, Tiggerlong Rebel and Brindle Fire collided on the first urn checking Brindle Fire, Tiggerlong Rebel, Red Taltarni and Twisted Again.

Twisted Again lost ground approaching the second turn and tailed off as a result.

Twisted Again underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was delayed by 3 minutes to hold for a New Zealand harness race.

Louie and Bell Topper collided approaching the first turn checking Bell Topper. Switched, Louie, Aussie Bear, Rare Sapphire and Destini Spitfire collided on the first turn checking Louie, Switched, Aussie Bear, McIvor Bonnie and Bell Topper.

Knight's Cross and Satanic Mikado were very slow to begin (3L).

Ethil's Courage raced wide entering the home straight.
