Jean Crisp, Jaycee Bale and Mysterio collided soon after the start, checking Jean Crisp, Jaycee Bale, Mysterio, Terindah Swifty and Baffling. Gem Victorem and Jean Crisp collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Mysterio checked off Red Fog approaching the home turn. Jaycee Bale and Mysterio collided approaching the home turn, checking Mysterio. Gem Victorem checked off Jaycee Bale in the home straight, checking Mysterio.

Baffling underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing left foreleg.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Lock Cracker and Where's Herbie were quick to begin. Florentino was slow to begin. 

Lock Cracker and Where's Herbie collided soon after the start. Turtle Fernando, Barooga Banjo and Miss Rose Water collided soon after the start, checking Barooga Banjo. Lock Cracker raced wide approaching the first turn. Turtle Fernando checked off Aston Cooper on the first turn. Florentino underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left cervico thoracic pain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Richard Gray regarding the racing manners of Florentino on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr Richard Gray, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Kanji Length and Hunca Munca were quick to begin. 

Trendy Touchdown and Aston Wonder collided soon after the start. Icarus Bale and Kanji Length collided on several occasions approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Aston Wonder checked off Quamby Bale on the first turn, checking Trendy Touchdown. Icarus Bale raced wide entering the home straight, checking Quamby Bale. 

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 1 minute to allow for remedial work to be undertaken on the Lure.

Alumni was quick to begin. 

Crazy Old Duck and Tokyo Ted collided soon after the start, checking Crazy Old Duck and Oliver Bale. Crazy Old Duck crossed to the running rail approaching the first turn, checking Oliver Bale, Aston Hebe, Aston Bomber and Markus Rhode.  Crazy Old Duck checked off Markus Rhode on the first turn, checking Aston Bomber. Markus Rhode and Tokyo Ted collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Markus Rhode, Oliver Bale and Tokyo Ted collided entering the home straight, checking Markus Rhode and Tokyo Ted. Oliver Bale and Crazy Old Duck collided approaching the winning post. 

Flying Jelly – Late scratching at 8.36 am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a torn nail to the left hindleg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Roxy Smirnoff was quick to begin. Roxy Quaker was slow to begin. 

Roxy Smirnoff  crossed to the running rail on the first turn, checking Spitfire Striker, Yussuf Bale and Crumb Snaggs. Crumb Snaggs, Yussuf Bale and Roxy Quaker collided entering the back straight, checking Yussuf Bale. Crumb Snaggs and Roxy Quaker collided in the back straight, checking Crumb Snaggs. Spitfire Striker checked off Roxy Smirnoff on the second turn. Crumb Snaggs and Yussuf Bale collided on the home turn, checking Yussuf Bale. Crumb Snaggs checked off Roxy Quaker entering the home straight.

Masked Avenger was quick to begin. Reloaded was slow to begin. 

Angus Rhode, All Over Max, Hennessy and Bareki collided soon after the start, checking Bareki. Reloaded checked off All Over Max in the home straight. 

Sudoku Cobra – Late scratching at 8.28 am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. P. Mathieson was fined $100.

Lala Grapefruit was quick to begin. Flying Sonic went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Regal Missile faultered approching the first turn and was tailed off as a result. Rodeo Ethics checked off Lala Grapefruit in the home straight and collided with Gutter Stomper, checking Gutter Stomper. Gutter Stomper and Rodeo Ethics collided approaching the winning post.

Regal Missile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Phil.

Scott Hue and Toyed were slow to begin.

Dusty Lyn and Crackerjack Phil collided soon after the start, checking Crackerjack Phil and Orson Mick. Crackerjack Phil checked off Scott Hue on the first turn. Silver Ability and Zulu Eyes collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. 

Silver Ability underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
