Violet Rose was quick to begin.
Orson Seth and Deb's Wish collided on the first turn checking Deb's Wish. Aston Musket raced wide approaching the home turn.
A post-race sample was taken from Violet Rose - winner of the event.
Stewards opened an inquiry into the conduct of Mr. Ronald McCullagh, trainer of Violet Rose, after reports were received of particular comments made in the catching pen after the running of this event. Stewards found Mr. McCullagh's comments to be detrimental to the image of greyhound racing and subsequently laid a charge under GAR 86(q). Mr. McCullagh pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the amount of $250.00.
