Dr. Kye was quick to begin.  Rock The Planet was slow to begin.

Straight Shooter and Shadow Giblet collided soon after the start checking Shadow Giblet.  Ozzie Dan crossed out approaching the first turn checking Ozzie Dan, Under His Spell and Problem Angel.  Rock The Planet checked off Under His Spell on the first turn.  Rock The Planet checked off Ozzie Dan on the home turn. 

Mt. View Burner and Tower Bell were slow to begin.

Sarah Beauty and Little Beamer collided approaching the first turn.  Invictus Xavier and My Juliana collided on the first turn checking My Juliana.  Little Beamer checked off Sarah Beauty on the first turn.  Mini Higgins and Sarah Beauty collided on the home turn.  Tower Bell and Little Beamer collided on the home turn, causing Littel Beamer to collide with Sarah Beauty, checking both greyhounds.  

Sarah Beauty underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a torn right dew claw .  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Mark Giddings was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Hold Fast Bella pursuant to GAR 33.

Starter's King was slow to begin.

Giovani and Staines collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Giovani crossed out on the first turn and collided with Staines, severely checking Giovani, Chasing Chops, Hold Fast Bella, Starter's King and Fancy Lily; Starter's King and Fancy Lily fell as a result.  Giovani and Chasing Chops collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Chasing Chops crossed out on the home turn and checked off Giovani.  

Giovani underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain, left chest injury and a right back muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Starter's King underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind papilloma, right shin soreness, left and right carpal sprains and a left groin injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Fancy Lily underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Get Around Her was quick to begin.

Chasing Summer checked off Get Around Her approaching the first turn.  Inga Meg checked off Miss Button on the first turn checking Get Around Her, Aston Artemis and Aussie Onyx.  Flamin' Sam checked off Get Around Her on the first turn.  Hurricane Miss and Chasing Summer collided on the home turn.  Aussie Onyx and Chasing Summer collided in the home straight. 

Humanity crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Grace Cabang.  Mussa Jack checked off Keenan Rocks approaching the first turn.  Very Odd checked off Trust I Seek on the first turn, causing Very Odd to collide with Humanity checking both greyhounds.  Very Odd and Humanity collided entering the back straight.  Keenan Rocks and Mussa Jack collided on the third turn.  Humanity and Grace Cabang collided on the home turn.  

Keenan Rocks – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Violation was quick to begin.  Chill Out Dusty was slow to begin.

Miss Angel Di and Hurricane Pete collided approaching the first turn.  Violation crossed in on the first turn and collided with Urana Vieri, checking Urana Vieri, Junket Jarrod, Chill Out Dusty; severely checking Shanghai Avatar and Hurricane Pete, both greyhounds fell as a result.  Urana Vieri and Junket Jarrod collided on the home turn checking Urana Vieri, Chill Out Dusty and Junket Jarrod.  Miss Angel Di crossed in, in the home straight checking Violation.  

Shanghai Avatar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right groin injuries.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Hurricane Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right shin soreness, left and right monkey muscles.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Violation underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Guy Bartlett regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Bartlett, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.

Why Not Dan and Mia's Hand collided approaching the first turn.  Manila Shine, Mia's Hand and Busy Izzy collided on the first turn checking Manila Shine, Mia's Hand, Busy Izzy, Why Not Dan and Panadero Grace.  Why Not Dan and Busy Izzy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Busy Izzy crossed in entering the home straight checking Busy Izzy, Panadero Grace and Why Not Dan.  Panadero Grace and Why Not Dan collided in the home straight.  

Panadero Grace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left shin soreness and a right monkey muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Bit Of Pepper and Antique Elsa collided on the first turn.  Antique Elsa, Will's Bella, Saint Phoenix and Chasing Honey collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Will's Bella checked off Saint Phoenix on the home turn.  Hurricane Keely and Mt. View Ivy collided on the home turn.  Antique Elsa and Saint Phoenix collided in the home straight.  

Violet Rose was quick to begin.

Orson Seth and Deb's Wish collided on the first turn checking Deb's Wish.  Aston Musket raced wide approaching the home turn.  

A post-race sample was taken from Violet Rose - winner of the event. 

Stewards opened an inquiry into the conduct of Mr. Ronald McCullagh, trainer of Violet Rose, after reports were received of particular comments made in the catching pen after the running of this event. Stewards found Mr. McCullagh's comments to be detrimental to the image of greyhound racing and subsequently laid a charge under GAR 86(q).  Mr. McCullagh pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the amount of $250.00.

Carnivore was slow to begin.

Chasing Love, Reality Pest and Rev The Jockey collided on the first turn checking Reality Pest and Rev The Jockey.  Blue Tick Erin raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. 

Zereva and Zulu Cha Cha collided approaching the first turn.  Dundee Idol and Zulu Cha Cha collided on the first turn.  Car Dealer and Zulu Cha Cha collided on the first turn checking Car Dealer, Zulu Cha Cha and Gizmo Osti.  Dundee Idol and Car Dealer collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Dundee Idol underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left carpal fracture.  A  28 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Mt. View Ginger - winner of the event. 

Piparae and Ebonique collided approaching the first turn checking Ebonique which faltered and lost ground as result.  Collaboration brushed the running rail on the first turn and raced ungenerously.  Flash Opal and Midnight Storm collided approaching the home turn checking Midnight Storm.  Spritely Star checked off Flash Opal on the home turn.  

Collaboration underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a spike wound to the right hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Carlstorm, the representative regarding the greyhound’s performance on the first turn.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Collaboration must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ebonique underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured left hock.  Ebonique was humanely euthanized

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Midnight Storm, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Thursday 4th November 2021. 

Pursuant to GAR 31, Ms Julie Belsham was issued with a warning for failing to have all greyhounds kennelled by the appointed close of kennelling time.

Lunation – 6 months - Field of 5, Distance 311m, Weight 26.0 kg, Box 3, Placed 3rd, Time Run 18.05 - Comment: Cleared All Tracks.

Candy Gem – Fail To Chase (Injury) - Field of 5, Distance 311m, Weight 26.9 kg, Box 8, Placed 5th, Time Run 18.26 - Comment: Not Cleared, eased on the first turn.
