Joyous Moment and Urana Vieri were quick to begin. Riverdale Tommy was slow to begin.
Nova To Burn and Magic Panther collided soon after the start. Me Silly and Magic Panther collided approaching the first turn. Nova To Burn and Magic Panther collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Magic Panther. Nova To Burn and Magic Panther collided approaching the home turn. Nova To Burn marred Riverdale Tommy approaching the winning post.
Nova To Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Wayne Gray, the trainer of Nova To Burn regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Nova To Burn was charged with marring. Mr Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Nova To Burn was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at Geelong track and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
