Xun Bale and Arch See All collided on the first turn checking Arch See all. Ranger Mick checked off Blue Tequila on the first turn severely checking Spray On Billy and Blue Tequila. Blue Tequila checked off Arch See All approaching the home turn. Spray On Billy drifted out and visibly eased approaching the home turn checking Ranger Mick. Arch See All and Blue Tequila collided on the home turn. Spray On Billy drifted out and visibly eased colliding with Ranger Mick approaching the winning post.

Spray On Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right wrist injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Gary Cowcher regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Spray On Billy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Cowcher pleaded guilty to the charge, Spray On Billy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
