Lemon was quick to begin.  Bully Bar and Leo Giblet were slow to begin.  Fancy Lily, Browning Bale and Little Kevin collided approaching the first turn severely checking Bully Bar.  Little Kevin galloped on Dead Last on the first turn.  Leo Giblet galloped on Hachey Boy on the first turn.  Browning Bale and Fancy Lily collided on the first turn severely checking Fancy Lily and Hachey Boy.  Dead Last crossed to the outside on the home turn and collided with Lemon.  Dead Last marred Lemon on the home turn causing Lemon to race wide in the home straight.  Browning Bale was checked off Dead Last entering the home straight.  Bully Bar and Little Kevin collided in the home straight.

Dead Last underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fulford, the representative for Dead Last regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Dead Last was charged with marring.  Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge, Dead Last was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Run Topper was quick to begin.  Rogan Bale was checked off He Can Talk soon after the start. Mega Tate and Rogan Bale collided soon after the start.  Rogan Bale crossed in approaching the first turn and collided with Mega Tate severely checking Mega Tate. Run Topper and He Can Talk collided on the first turn.  Junior Coin was checked off He Can Talk on the home turn.  Rogan Bale and Aranyi collided on the home turn.  Aranyi galloped on Run Topper on the home turn.  He Can Talk and Aranyi collided on the home turn.  He Can Talk, Aranyi and Junior Coin collided in the home straight. Junior Coin and Aranyi collided approaching the winning post.

Crowdza Blest was quick to begin.  Zippy Artist and Burst The Limit collided soon after the start checking Burst The Limit.  Starter’s King and Bomber‘s Power collided approaching the first turn checking Bomber’s Power.  Zippy Artist, Bomber’s Power and Meet Winston collided on the first turn checking Bomber’s Power.  Bomber’s Power and Zipping Artist collided on the home turn.  Burst The Limit and Meet Winston raced wide on the home turn.

Havoc’s Legacy and Inga Harry collided soon after the start checking Zambora Tara.  Lily Rose Harper, Havoc’s Legacy, Inga Harry and Sicilian collided on the first turn checking Havoc’s Legacy. Zambora Tara galloped on Inga Harry on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Havoc’s Legacy galloped on Sicilian approaching the home turn.  

Sicilian underwent a post race veterinary examination and no appatrent injury was reported.

Gee Dalton was slow to begin.  Busy Izzy and Too Much Talking collided soon after the start.  Too Much Talking and Maximum Trina collided soon after the start.  Too Much Talking crossed in on the first turn checking Busy Izzy, Zereva and Elswyk Sky.  Elswyk Sky and Maximum Trina collided on the first turn checking Maximum Trina and Gee Dalton.  Too Much Talking raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Busy Izzy and Too Much Talking collided approaching the winning post.

Too Much Talking underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Blazin’ Sushi was quick to begin.  Oddball Armo was slow to begin.  Kuta Cowboy and Bubbling Betty collided soon after the start.  Evanlee and Banjo Bobby collided approaching the first turn checking Banjo Bobby.  Blazin’ Sushi and Good Boy Colombo collided approaching the first turn checking Blazin’ Sushi.  Evanlee crossed in on the first turn checking Oddball Armo.  Blazin’ Sushi and Evanlee raced wide in the home straight.

Oddball Armo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle and right hamstring.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Weeona Jack and Empress Blaze crossed in soon after the start.  Barnaby Blitz and Almighty Mack collided soon after the start.  Barnaby Blitz was checked off Almighty Mack soon after the start. Stratospheric, Prince Nangana and Magnetic Man collided several times approaching the first turn.  

Magnetic Man underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Samp De Keats and Yelredda Saint were slow to begin.  Strict Liability, Captain Cruiser and Yelredda Saint collided approaching the first turn.  Strict Liability and Yelredda Saint collided on the first turn. Strict Liability and Captain Cruiser collided on the first turn checking Captain Cruiser. Captain Cruiser, Master Febey and Pine Gem raced wide in the home straight.

Elswyk Shadow visibly eased and turned its head in the home straight and collided with Bomber’s Smokey.

Dynamite Des underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right flexor tendon.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Elswyk Shadow underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr. M. Busuttil declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Busuttil the trainer of Elswyk Shadow regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Elswyk Shadow was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committment.  Mr. Busuttil pleaded guilty to the charge, Elswyk Shadow was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Joske, the representative of Aston Noah after it was established that he presented the incorrect greyhound during kennelling, the correct greyhound was subsequently presented, prior to the kennels closing. Acting under GAR 86 (o), Stewards charged Mr. Joske with presenting the incorrect greyhound for racing, which was considered negligent.  A fine of $100 was imposed.

Aston Noah - Late scratching at 6.46pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. B. Joske was fined $100.

Parumba Barcia was slow to begin.  Parumba Barcia and Aston Harrison collided approaching the first turn checking Parumba Barcia which stumbled.  Hurricane Miami and Aston Harrison collided on the first turn.  Parumba Barcia and Aston Harrison collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Saint Phoenix and Elswyk Jordy collided on the first turn. Elswyk Jordy and Hurricane Miami collided on the home turn.
