Cawbourne Toe - Late scratching at 12.22pm when Trainer Mrs L. Delbridge reported the greyhound to be lame (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blazing Nenna, Aston Mireya and Blackpool Bolt were quick to begin.
Speedy Garry checked off Blackpool Bolt soon after the start, checking Overshadowed, Love Heart and Speedy Garry. Blazing Nenna checked off Blackpool Bolt approaching the first turn. Trickity Click checked off Blackpool Bolt approaching the second turn. Trickity Click shifted outwards on the home turn, checking Blazing Nenna. Blackpool Bolt shifted inwards on the home turn, colliding with Overshadowed.
