Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 31, due to the late arrival of Mr. Gregory Schofield. The kennels closed at 6.32pm. Mr Schofield was fined $50.

Smoke Bush Drive was quick to begin.

Moo Star and Anticipating collided soon after the start. Fabriola Bauer and Anticipating collided approaching the first turn. Fabriola Bauer checked off Anticipating on the first turn; Fabriola Bauer lost ground as a result. Anticipating veered in, turned its head inwards and marred Moo Star in the home straight. Serving Soldier visibly eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight. Serving Soldier and Zippy Tesla collided approaching the winning post.

Serving Soldier underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr. Michael Bewley declined an offer for the greyhound to be re-examined by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Bewley regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Serving Soldier was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Bewley pleaded guilty to the charge, Serving Soldier was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Anticipating underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Jason Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Anticipating was charged with marring.  Mr. Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Anticipating was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Maniac Martini was quick to begin. Lyrical Pat, Aston Amber and Madam Evie were slow to begin.

Mayfair Fantasy and More Issues collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Drain The Swamp and Mayfair Fantasy collided several times on the first turn. Dragon Slayer and Lyrical Pat collided on the first turn. Drain The Swamp and Mayfair Fantasy collided approaching the home turn. 

Johnny Disco was slow to begin.

Gecko Fernando brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Shim's Heart and Johnny Disco collided in the home straight.

Collinda Beast was quick to begin. Destroy We Said was slow to begin.

Berkel Boy checked off Double Tactic and collided with Destroy We Said on the first turn. Double Tactic and Disco Riot collided on the first turn. Yussuf Bale raced wide on the home turn. Berkel Boy and Destroy We Said collided in the home straight. 

Stewards conducted a check of the catcher's licences in accordance with LRR 16.2, all were compliant.

Americano Miss was quick to begin.

Aston Knox and Above The Limit collided soon after the start. Nangar Troy and Siala Giblet collided soon after the start. Decimate checked off Americano Miss approaching the first turn. Mepunga Hayles and Aston Knox collided approaching the first turn, checking Mepunga Hayles. Above The Limit and Siala Giblet collided approaching the first turn, checking Above The Limit. Aston Knox checked off Nangar Troy on the first turn, Aston Knox stumbled as a result, checking Mepunga Hayles and Siala Giblet. Mepunga Hayles and Balt's Flying raced wide in the home straight.

Aston Knox underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right triangle muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Inga Ollie was quick to begin. Spring Candice was slow to begin. 

Saint Mac and Spearhead collided soon after the start. High Action, Spitfire Striker and Ricky Racoon collided soon after the start, checking High Action. Esmay and Saint Mac collided on the first turn. Spearhead and Spitfire Striker collided on the first turn. Spearhead, Spitfire Striker and Ricky Racoon collided approaching the home turn. Spring Candice checked off the heels of Esmay and collided with Spearhead, Spitfire Striker and Ricky Racoon on the home turn, checking all greyhounds. Spring Candice and Spitfire Striker collided in the home straight. 

Falconetti and Padrino Rocks collided soon after the start. Spring Scout clipped the heels of She's Serious approaching the first turn, checking She's Serious. Dundee Jester and Padrono Rocks collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the second turn.

Suvla Bay and Typhoon Sammy were quick to begin.

Byron Bale clipped the heels of Langfield Bale approaching the first turn, checking Langfield Bale, Suvla Bay and Soduku Cobra. Langfield Bale and Soduku Cobra collided on the home turn.

Trash was slow to begin.

Urana Vieri and Entice collided soon after the start, checking Urana Vieri. Blackpool Homer and Blue Chandelier collided on the first turn. Trash and Urana Vieri collided on the home turn. 

Cawbourne Toe - Late scratching at 12.22pm when Trainer Mrs L. Delbridge reported the greyhound to be lame (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blazing Nenna, Aston Mireya and Blackpool Bolt were quick to begin.

Speedy Garry checked off Blackpool Bolt soon after the start, checking Overshadowed, Love Heart and Speedy Garry. Blazing Nenna checked off Blackpool Bolt approaching the first turn. Trickity Click checked off Blackpool Bolt approaching the second turn. Trickity Click shifted outwards on the home turn, checking Blazing Nenna. Blackpool Bolt shifted inwards on the home turn, colliding with Overshadowed.

Trickety Click underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Speedy Garry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have lost/torn nail, left hindleg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Alamosa Bill shifted in soon after the start, checking Cute Indeed, Magic Panther, Grand Giveaway and Alamosa Bill then collided with Tinker Calie. Tinker Calie checked off Alamosa Bill in the back straight. Tinker Calie checked off Milwaulkee Miss on the first turn. Grand Giveaway checked off Tinker Calie in the home straight. 

Cute Indeed – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Alamosa Bill – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Inga Mia, Darley Dynamo and Bad Bailey were quick to begin. Squawking Budgie was slow to begin.

Spring Bjorn and Inga Riley collided soon after the start. Inga Riley shifted inwards approaching the first turn, checking Inga Zach. Inga Mia checked off Spring Bjorn approaching the home turn, and was severel checked losing ground and then collided with Darley Dynamo and Inga Riley, which resulted in Inga Mia, Darley Dynamo and Inga Riley to be severely checked. Squawking Budgie checked off Inga Zach after the winning post, causing Squawking Budgie to fall.

 Squawking Budgie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
