Steward's Report
Mr. Greg Doyle was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Deedee's Charm, pursuant to GAR 33.
Plausible Dream and Kanga Lights were slow to begin.
Tilly Divine checked of the heels of Crackerjack Dev approaching the first turn. Kanga Lights and Tilly Divine collided on the first turn, resulting in Kanga Lights contacting the running rail. Barellen Pearl visibly eased through the first turn. Barellen Pearl and Deedee's Charm collided approaching the home turn.
Kanga Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination examination and was found to have abrasions left hind leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Barellen Pearl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and lacerations on the left hind paw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Alfred King, the trainer of Barellen Pearl regarding the greyhound’s racing manners through the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Barellen Pearl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr King pleaded not guilty to the charge, Barellen Pearl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted
