The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Brizo with trainer Mr Douglas Hammerstien and noted their comments.
What Could Be was quick to begin.
Fleetwood Sam and Saint Bluey collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Fleetwood Sam causing Xavi Bale and Fleetwood Sam to collide checking Victory Fire. Lead The Way, Saint Bluey and Brizo collided on the first turn causing Brizo to race wide. Lead The Way and Saint Bluey collided in the front straight. Aqua Blaze, Lead The Way and Saint Bluey collided approaching the second turn checking all three greyhounds causing Lead The Way to race wide checking Victory Fire and Brizo. Xavi Bale checked off Aqua Blaze approaching the third turn. Aqua Blaze checked off Saint Bluey on the third turn. Lead The Way and Fleetwood Sam collided entering the back straight checking Victory Fire. Victory Fire and Brizo collided on the fourth turn checking Brizo. Aqua Blaze and Lead The Way collided in the home straight.
Brizo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
