Zipping Gomez, Lead The Way and Unravel collided soon after the start. Salut Sideways, Living The Lie and Zipping Gomez collided on the first turn. Lead The Way and Unravel collided on the first turn checking Unravel. Mt. View Bee and Sienna Sunrise collided approaching the second turn. Mt. View Bee marred Sienna Sunrise on the second turn severely checking Sienna Sunrise. Unravel faltered on the second turn and lost ground. Living The Lie visibly eased entering the back straight. Lead The Way and Mt. View Bee collided in the back straight checking Mt. View Bee. Salut Sideways and Living The Lie collided entering the home straight.
Living The Lie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left biceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Mario Briganti, the trainer of Living The Lie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Living The Lie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Briganti pleaded guilty to the charge, Living The Lie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mt. View Bee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and split webbing to the left front and left rear. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr David Kerr, the handler of Mt. View Bee regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Mt. View Bee was charged with marring. Mr Kerr pleaded guilty to the charge, Mt. View Bee was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Unravel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and right shin. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
