S.Boag, trainer of Notty Hornblower redeclared a new weight of 32.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Notty Hornblower last raced at 34.6kg.
White Heart, Tweetman and Notty Hornblower collided soon after the start checking White Heart and Notty Hornblower. Wicked Four and Camwell's Cool collided approaching the first turn checking Wicked Four. Pollyana checked off Why Not Heater on the first turn. White Heart and Notty Hornblower collided on the first turn checking Notty Hornblower which tailed off as a result. White Heart and Camwell's Cool collided approaching the home turn checking Camwell's Cool. Pollyana and Camwell's Cool collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Camwell's Cool. Why Not Heather raced wide entering the home straight.
Notty Hornblower was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
