Say Again and Grand Illusion were slow to begin. Grand Illusion and Rusty Lee collided soon after the start checking Rusty Lee. Eye Smith and Bernie Murray collided on the first turn checking Bernie Murray. Eye Smith crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Tequila Sun and Say Again.
Rusty Lee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and both thigh muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
