Mouyong Jimmy, Eumeralla View and Black Swamp were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Eumeralla View and Black Swamp.  Bubblegum and Deveraux collided approaching the first turn.  Bubblegum checked off Dr. Samson on the first turn.  Eumeralla View and Immeasurable collided approaching the home turn.  Mouyong Jimmy and Immeasurable collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Deveraux eased in the home straight, checking Mouyong Jimmy as a result.  Mouyong Jimmy checked off Immeasurable in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to M Clark, the trainer of the greyhound Deveraux.  Deveraux was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds and slight swelling on the left hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Deveraux with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomiantion will be accepted.
