Gunai Diva was a late scratching at 4.39 p.m. due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Captain Revenge and Big Hoff were slow to begin. Ikara Bale and Choir Master collided soon after the start, checking Choir Master. Ikara Bale, Jenkins Bale and Big Hoff collided approaching the home turn, checking Ikara Bale and Choir Master.
