Stewards placed consideration on the greyhound's injury and the fact that there was no head on vision available in the back straight for this event which therefore made it difficult to discern whether the greyhound had been checked by Deadly Express. Stewards gave the greyhound the benefit of the doubt and took no further action. Mr. Langley further advised Stewards that he believes the greyhound may be better suited to a straight course as it gets closer to retirement.

At the completion of the event, it was noted that the incorrect winning time was displayed on the semaphore board following a malfunction to the automatic timing equipment. The correct winning time was corrected to 24.960. 

How High Austin - underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to a collision entering the home straight and was found to have a left foreleg carpal sprain injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Due to a malfunction with the timing equipment, the initial time that appeared on the semaphore board immediately after this event was incorrect. As a result, this event was hand-timed and no split times were available.

Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after Stewards initially had concerns with the greyhound's racing manners. No apparent injury was found. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Charlie Galea regarding the greyhound's racing manners. Mr. Galea advised Stewards that he was disappointed with where the greyhound had finished after considering where it was placed in running entering the home straight. Stewards took into consideration Mr. Galea's evidence and were satisfied that in colliding with the tiring Wild One Mikado, Lady Rozina Hook had not breached any of the relevant rules of racing. No further action was taken.
