Steward's Report
Broombrae Blaze, Solar Tiger, Crymelon Ivy and Zaida Bale were quick to begin. Paluma and Honest Frank were slow to begin.
Paluma, faltered on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Solar Tiger visably eased approaching the home turn and in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a tail base injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Victor Millington regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Solar Tiger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Millington pleaded guilty to the charge, Solar Tiger was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
