All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

La Blonde, Chief Benja and Mystify Princess were slow to begin.

Divine Calling – New declared weight of 28.7kg, last raced at 27.5kg.

Stump Rump was slow to begin.

Stump Rump marred Destiny Rocks at the 200 metre mark. Destiny Rocks visibly eased and pulled up at the 50 metre mark. 

Stump Rump underwent a post-race veterinary examination- no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Paula Boots , the handler of Stump Rump regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 150 meter mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Stump Rump was charged with marring. Ms Boots pleaded guilty to the charge Stump Rump was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Destiny Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to havea left calf injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Thomas Currie regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50 metre mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1),Destiny Rocks was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Currie pleaded guilty to the charge, Destiny Rocks was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms Shara Quinlan regarding the racing manners of Thranduil at the 200m mark.  After hearing evidence from Ms. Quinlan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 200m mark. 

Stewards spoke to Ms Paula Boots regarding the racing manners of Dreaming Lola soon after the start. After hearing evidence from Ms Boots, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Why Not Dan was slow to begin.

Jimmy Maker, Udeyan Bale and Jayville Menace were slow to begin. 

Wake Up Dusty was slow to begin. 

Soul Reader and Salience were slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shima Sheen.

Fraternity was slow to begin.

Dementor – Late scratching at 10.33am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to Dehydration.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from My Mate Lucas.

Chop was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Chop - the winner of the event. 

My Mate Lucas underwent a post-race veterinary examination- no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Brett Mackie regarding the racing manners of My Mate Lucas approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Mackie, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Fernando Bubbles – Late scratching at 8.49am when trainer Mr. Lorenzo Carbone reported the greyhound to have a Groin injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Miss Ritzy – Late scratching at 9.58 due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Mr Dylan Bate informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track.  Stewards advised Mr Bate that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival.  The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Bruree Fairy was quick to begin. Sir Come Again was slow to begin. 

Fernando Mark – Late scratching at 8.50am when trainer Mr. Lorenzo Carbone reported the greyhound to have a Foot injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Skip's Turn.

Skip's Return and Footy Trip Fund were quick to begin.

Western Bomber was slow to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.
