All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Albies Cruiser, Kath's Girl and Arby's Sally were quick to begin. Smooth Cruiser was slow to begin.

Arby's Sally raced wide on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Always Diamond.

Ruby Runner and Letter To You collided approaching the first turn. Giovani and Mumma's Meatball collided on the first turn and again on the home turn checking Mumma's Meatball. Mileena and Opal Gem collided on the home turn. Giovani checked off Mumma's Meatballs entering the home straight. Mumma's Meatballs visibly eased in the home straight and turned its head outwards severely checking Giovani. Giovani, Lilly's Stripey, Always Diamond, Mumma's Meatball and Ruby Runner raced wide in the home straight.

Giovani underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right deltoid muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Susan Abela regarding the racing manners of Giovani on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Ms Abela, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turm.

Mumma's Meatball underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Jeanette Imlach regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mumma's Meatball was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Imlach pleaded guilty to the charge, Mumma's Meatball was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Violet Rose was quick to begin.

Orson Franky and Wake Up Dusty collided on the first turn. Wake Up Dusty checked off Black Power on the first turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Black Power - the winner of the event.

Love A Collision was slow to begin.

Bartholomew Bale and Montaro collided soon after the start checking Montaro. Montaro and Black mintie collided on the home turn.

Black Mintie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Tigers On Fire checked off Ozzie Dan approaching the first turn. Sweet Kathleen and Dorelle Love collided on the first turn. Veracruz Bale and Ozzie Dan collided on the first turn checking Veracruz Bale. Dashing Mini crossed to the outside entering the home straight checking Sweet Kathleen, severely checking Dashing Mini. Tigers On Fire raced wide in the home straight.

Dashing Mini underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Nunniong Bear and Maximum Zeal collided soon after the start. Gotham Baron and Slick Intention collided soon after the start.

The Stewards declared this event a “No Race” in accordance with GAR 56 due to the boxes opening prematurely. All bets refunded in full. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The prizemoney will be split evenly between the competing greyhounds. The fault was rectified and the starting boxes were tested several times prior to the running of Race 8.

Star Burner was slow to begin.

Airly Pablo and Ballymac Woman collided soon after the start. No Way Nellie and Star Burner collided on the first turn. Airly Pablo raced wide in the home straight.

Specter Litt was slow to begin.

Chanel Miss and Sicilian collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Specter Litt and Under His Spell collided on the first turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Jebrynah Sol - the winner of the event.

Big Lug – Late scratching at 14.01 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. Frank Toth was fined $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Hold Fast Bella.

Jasper Bale and Bonnie Gem were quick to begin.

Jasper Bale and Bonnie Gem collided soon after the start. Hold Fast Bella, Jasper Bale and Bonnie Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Hold Fast Bella and Jasper Bale. Bule Eyed Angel galloped on Bonne Gem approaching the first turn. Jasper Bale and Bonnie Gem collided entering the home straight.

Manila Shine was quick to begin.

Truss, Mighty Tuscany and Halina's Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Mighty Tuscany. Truss and Halina's Gem collided on the first turn checking Halina's Gem. Torryn Bale and Heckle Me collided approaching the winning post.

Halina's Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.

Balmoral was quick to begin.

Bearing Gold and Oakvale Cruiser collided soon after the start. Magic Mark, Locked And Ready and Cool Stone collided approaching the first turn. Bearing Gold crossed to the outside on the first turn and race wide on the home turn.

Oakvale Cruiser underwent a post-race veterinary examination by request of the Trainer and was found to have a laceration to the left hind toes. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trials:

Hacker – FTC - Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight 32.8kg, Box 8, Placed 1st, Time Run  22.759 - Comment: Cleared all tracks.

Jovi Bale – Marring - Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight  32.1kg, Box 4, Comment: the muzzle of Jovi Bale became lodged in the greyhounds mouth in the home straight, causing the greyhound to fall. Jovi Bale was subsequently not cleared.

Jovi Bale underwent a post-trial veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
