All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Archie’s Entity was quick to begin.  Blair’s Rex was slow to begin.  Aston Jazz and Fearless Girl collided soon after the start checking Aston Jazz.  Blair’s Rex was checked off Dr. Valentin approaching the first turn.  Dr. Valentin and Left Right Now collided on the first turn checking Left Right Now, severely checking Fearless Girl.  Blair’s Rex and Left Right Now raced wide in the home straight.

Valencia Bale was quick to begin.  Drop A Line and Dundee Twister were slow to begin.  Dundee Twister was checked off Valencia Bale on the home turn.  Dundee Twister and Just A Minute collided entering the home straight checking Drop A Line.

An out of competition sample was taken from Average Axel on 18 February 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Allan Coe.

Black Light Burn was quick to begin.  Establishment was slow to begin.  Average Axel was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Ice Cool Kimmi crossed in soon after the start and galloped on Black Light Burn checking both greyhounds.  Allan Coe and Good Chat Wispy collided approaching the first turn. Black Light Burn, Winlock At Large and Ice Cool Kimmi collided on the first turn checking Winlock At Large, severely checking Ice Cool Kimmi.  Allan Coe and Good Chat Wispy collided entering the home straight checking Good Chat Wispy.  Winlock At Large was checked off Black Light Burn entering the home straight. Winlock At Large shifted out in the home straight.

Stewards noted that Winlock At Large had become momentarily distracted by a bird on the track and as a result shifted out in the home straight.  After viewing all the available race footage, Stewards were satisfied that this incident did not alter the finishing order.  

A sample was taken from It’s A Drama upon arrival at the course.

Pride Into Power was quick to begin.  Simon Says and Speedy Villian were slow to begin.  Security Man and Disorientated collided approaching the first turn.  Simon Says crossed out entering the home straight and raced wide in the home straight.

Bark Healy was slow to begin.  Targod Shirley, Bark Healy and Sore Loser collided soon after the start.  Madam Chelsea and Shot Fossil collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Web and Wizardry Magic collided soon after the start.  Madam Chelsea and Sore Loser collided on the first turn.  Bark Healy was checked off Targod Shirley on the first turn.  Targod Shirley was checke off Sore Loser in the back straight.

Rizzo was quick to begin.  Got No Bro and Zipping Wreck were slow to begin.  Small Soldier and Rizzo collided soon after the start.  Small Soldier was checked off Nathan Ryder approaching the first turn.  Rizzo and Nitro Bale collided on the home turn.  Nathan Ryder raced wide in the home straight.  

Nitro Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and no apparent injury was reported.

A post race blood sample was taken from Divine Empress - winner of the event.

Slick Sister and Panama Dance were slow to begin.  Flossie Ann, Minoli Magic and Magic Mist collided soon after the start.  Minoli Magic was checked off Flossie Ann approaching the first turn. Slick Sister and Catch collided on the first turn checking Slick Sister and Minoli Magic.  Slick Sister and Flossie Ann collided entering the home straight checking Flossie Ann.  Minoli Magic was checked off Catch in the home straight.

Nevaeh Bale was quick to begin.  General Payton, Dr. Macy Jane and Rasputin collided several times approaching the first turn.  Dr. Macy Jane crossed out entering the home straight and raced wide in the home straight.  Rasputin and General Payton collided approaching the winning post.

Queen Sal was quick to begin.  Free Ride was slow to begin.  Sally Intention and Free Ride collided on the first turn.  Free Ride clipped the heels of Leg Burner approaching the home turn checking Free Ride.  Just Saying, Queen Sal, Aston Salma and Defined Benefit collided entering the home straight checking Aston Salma and Defined Benefit. Just Saying and Leg Burner collided entering the home straight. Free Ride shifted out approaching the winning post, visibly eased and collided with Leg Burner and Just Saying.

Free Ride underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left chest muscle and an abrasion on the right hind.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Stephen Whyte regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Free Ride was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Whyte pleaded guilty to the charge, Free Ride was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lavish Diamond - Late scratching at 9.50pm on the advice of the on track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an injured left wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Our Elly Bye and Love So Pure collided approaching the first turn checking Our Elly Bye.  Love So Pure was checked off Our Elly Bye on the home turn.  

Love So Pure underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left thigh muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet Chanelle and Blazing Sal were quick to begin.  Joe’s Entity was slow to begin.  Joe’s Entity was checked off Blazing Sal on the home turn.  Joe’s Entity was checked off Extremely entering the home straight.  Joe’s Entity and Neesa Giblet collided entering the home straight.  Blazing Sal raced wide in the home straight.

Dashing Mini underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
