Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Unakite.
Mick The Magpie was quick to begin. Letterfrack Lady was slow to begin.
Miss Manager and Pyrenees Prada collided soon after the start. Pyrenees Prada and Alira Gem collided soon after the start checking Pyrenees Prada, severely checking Alira Gem. Mick The Magpie and Miss Manager collided approaching the home turn. Unakite, Pyrenees Prada and Alira Gem raced wide on the home turn. Pyrenees Prada and Alira Gem raced wide in the home straight. Unakite crossed to the inside in the home straight. Unakite marred Mick The Magpie in the home straight.
Unakite underwent a post-race veterinary examination, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Liam Sharp, the representative of Unakite regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Unakite was charged with marring. Mr Sharp pleaded guilty to the charge, Unakite was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Sharp advised consideration would be given to retiring the greyhuond after todays performance.
