Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Letterfrack Lady, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Arby's Sally was quick to begin. La Blonde and Double Top were slow to begin.
Rambling Spirit and Mt. View Bro shifted wide on the first turn severely checking Double Top. La Blonde raced wide on the first turn. Moonlight Wish visible eased approaching the winning pot.
Rambling Spirit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Radstock regarding the racing manners of Rambling Spirit on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Radstock, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
La Blonde underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Moonlight Wish underwent a post-race veterinary examination and revetted after race 4 and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Robert Gore, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Moonlight Wish was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Gore pleaded guilty to the charge, Moonlight Wish was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
