All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Dry Lightning was quick to begin. Curly Fries was slow to begin.

Ben Charlie and McIvor Jimmy collided soon after the start checking McIvor Jimmy. Salience, After Affair and Unleaded Diesel collided approaching the first turn. After Affair and Unleaded Diesel collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Salience and Dry Lightning collided approaching the home turn. Salience crossed to the outside in the home straight and collided with Curly Fries.

Chill Out Berty turned it's head outwards soon after the start. Chill Out Berty raced wide soon after the start checking Twilight Sofia and Short Tail Lomar. Twilight Sophia checked off Short Tail Lomar on the first turn. Twilight Sofia and Short Tail Lomar collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Chill Out Berty and Dan's Butler collided in the home straight.

Chill Out Berty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Michael Chilcott, the representative of Chill Out Berty regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Chill Out Berty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Chill Out Berty was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. Cameron Knott was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Tommy's No Angel pursuant to GAR 33.

Tommy's No Angel was quick to begin. Coach Fagan was slow to begin.

Tommy's No Angel, Shaggy Rufus, Mango Man, Lektra Sarah, Shore Lanka, Coach Fagan and Coastal Edge collided on the first turn checking Shore Lanka, Coastal Edge and Eadie. Shore Lanka, Coastal Edge and Eadie collided approaching the home turn severely checking Eadie. Tommy's No Angel, Mango Man and Lektra Sarah collided approaching the home turn checking, Tommy's No Angel, Mango Man, Lektra Sarah and Coach Fagan. Coach Fagan raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight. Shaggy Rufus turned it's head outwards and collided with Tommy's No Angel several times in the home straight.

Shaggy Rufus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Sean Vantaarling regarding the racing manners of Shaggy Rufus in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Vantaarling, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Our Fabio and Tea Pot Creek were slow to begin.

Sambar Chief and Golden Teddy collided soon after the start. Sambar Chief, Golden Teddy and Tea Pot Creek collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.

Pullin' Your Leg and McIvor Bonnie were slow to begin.

Kaw Liga and Tame The Beast collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. My Believer and Brothers In Arms collided approaching the first turn checking My Believer. Pullin' Your Leg, Kaw Liga and Quick Lomar collided approaching the home turn checking Quick Lomar which collided with Brothers In Arms. Tame The Beast and My Believer collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Twilight Harry and Kaw Liga collided entering the home straight. Twilight Harry crossed to the outside in the home straight.

Twilight Rogue, Sprinkler System and Jungle Panther collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Why Delila and Crabby Yabby collided approaching the first turn checking Why Delila. Return Serve and Compton Redeemer collided on the first turn checking Sprinkler System, Jungle Panther and Compton Redeemer. Why Delila and Compton Redeemer collided on the home turn severely checking Why Delila which collided with Sprinkler System.

Awesome Asset lost ground on the first turn.

Awesome Asset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and spike wound to the left wrist. A 14 day stand down perios was imposed.
