Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes to hold for Hastings thoroughbreds.
Emmett's Regret was slow to begin.
Dewanna Success and Fab Nine collided soon after the start. Rapid Royale checked off Dark Krystal approaching the first turn checking Go Forward Tink, Lenny's Jagger, Fab Nine and Emmett's Regret. Go Forward Tink and Fab Nine collided approaching the home turn. Emmett's regret visibly eased in the home straight and pulled up.
Emmett's Regret underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left thigh and triangle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Jye Formosa regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Emmett's Regret was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Emmett's Regret was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
