Dusty Bourbski was quick to begin. Unleash The Fun, Claretown Ryan and As Good As were slow to begin.
Unleash The Fun visibly eased and pulled up soon after the start.
Unleash The Fun underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr John Barbara, the Trainer of Unleash The Fun, declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Barbara regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Unleash The Fun was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Barbara pleaded guilty to the charge, Unleash The Fun was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
