Steward's Report
Bully Bar was slow to begin. Bully Bar, Alkonost and Way To Stand collided on the first turn. Alkonost checked off Way To Stand approaching the home turn. Jesse Riccarton turned its head outward, visibly eased and collided with I'm Ace Osti entering the home straight. Jesse Riccarton turned its head outward in the home straight. Jesse Riccarton underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hind shin soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Anthony Helleren regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Jesse Riccarton was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Helleren pleaded guilty to the charge, Jesse Riccarton was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
