Mazikeen Smith was slow to begin.
Mikado Gal and Change Of Habit collided soon after the start; checking Mikado Gal, which lost ground as a result. Rocket Power crossed in on the first turn. Pechey's Girl checked off Rocket Power entering the back straight and collided with Change Of Habit. Pechey's Girl and Rocket Power collided in the home straight.
