Steward's Report
Neesa Giblet was slow to begin.
Quinlee Giblet and Buzz Out collided soon after the start. Campaspe Wilson and Lizzie's Glory collided soon after the start. Ice Cream Lady and Quinlee Giblet collided approaching the first turn, checking Ice Cream Lady. Ice Cream Lady checked off Buzz Out on the first turn and collided with Campaspe Wilson. Buzz Out checked off Neesa Giblet approaching the home turn. Tinker Caylee and Inga Assalt collided on the home turn. Quinlee Giblet checked off Inga Assalt on the home turn. Tinker Caylee visIbly eased and turned it's head inwards in the home straight and collided with Inga Assalt. Inga Assalt checked off Tinker Caylee in the home straight. Quinlee Giblet and Campaspe Wilson collided in the home straight. Tinker Caylee turned it's head outwards approaching the winning post and collided with Ice Cream Lady.
Tinker Caylee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury and a cervico thoracic injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr C. Burns regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Tinker Caylee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr C. Burns pleaded guilty to the charge, Tinker Caylee was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Lizzie's Glory - the winner of the event.
