Lacie Rose was slow to begin.  Killshot and Blackpool Homer collided approaching the first turn. Little Kevin faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Lacie Rose and Blackpool Homer collided on the first turn.  Lead The Way marred Tiger Rosie in the home straight. Lead The Way galloped on Tiger Rosie in the home straight checking Tiger Rosie.  Lead The Way and Tiger Rosie collided approaching the winning post.

Little Kevin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Cyclone Jenny underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have an abrasion on a left front toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Lead The Way underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Gorman, the trainer of Lead The Way regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lead The Way was charged with marring.  Mrs. Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Lead The Way was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted

Click And Win was slow to begin.  Little Kit and Elswyk Jordy collided soon after the start checking Elswyk Jordy.  Elswyk Jordy and Smokin’ Ziggy collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Smokin’ Ziggy galloped on Dr. Bronte approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Secret Key, Harrison House and Wiggle It Bart were slow to begin.  Harrison House and Zipping Margo collided soon after the start.  Zipping Margo and Wiggle It Bart collided approaching the first turn.  Klopp and Mikado Gal raced wide in the home straight.

Cooped Up was slow to begin.  Leo Rose and Forcefully collided approaching the first turn.  Miers and Dr. Rozzie collided approaching the first turn severely checking Dr. Rozzie.  Dr. Rozzie and Leo Rose collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Rozzie and Sunnyside Pride collided on the home turn.  Naga Viper and Dr. Rozzie collided in the home straight.  Sunnyside Pride and Cooped Up raced wide in the home straight.

Reinforced and Throw Caution collided approaching the first turn.  Reinforced was checked off Two Metre Peter approaching the first turn severely checking Reinforced, checking Toby Time.  Madalia Champ raced wide in the home straight.

Major Winston and Camila collided soon after the start.  Dr. Collette and Aston Glow collided approaching the first turn.  Dr. Xander was checked off Aston Percival on the first turn.  Dr. Xander and Jezza Bence collided approaching the home turn checking Jezza Bence and Aston Glow.  Major Winston and Dr. Collette collided approaching the home turn.  Camila clipped the heels of Major Winston approaching the home turn.  Major Winston and Jezza Bence collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking Major Winston.

Ripplebrook Rory and Lady Lagertha collided approaching the first turn.  Lady Lagertha eased approaching the first turn and subsequently pulled up.  Aston Fraiche and Soda Prince collided entering the home straight.

Lady Lagertha underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left monkey muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Lieshout, the trainer of Lady Lagertha regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Lady Lagertha was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge, Lady Lagertha was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

There was a delay to the All Clear in order for the Stewards to review the positioning of the lure approaching the finishing line. This occurred due to Lady Lagertha pulling up approaching the first turn and running back in the opposite direction and the Lure Driver being instructed to activate the finish on lure safety procedure for concluding the race. However, Lady Legertha was subsequently secured by track staff at the 460m start, thus alleviating the need for the alternate finish. The Lure Driver was instructed to abort the finish on procedure and perform a normal catching pen finish. After watching all available video footage and acting on their observations, the Stewards were satisfied that no runner was substantially inconvenienced so as to affect the outcome of the Event, and permitted the variance in accordance with GAR 55 (1). The All Clear was given on 8-7-4-2. 

The photo finish camera failed to opperate for this event. The judge confirmed placings from their own observations and use of the back up photo finish camera.

Elswyk Shadow and Red Sunset were slow to begin.  Mickey Blue Eyes crossed in approaching the first turn checking Matilda Flyer.  Doll’s Jakit was checked off Rizzo approaching the first turn checking Elswyk Shadow.  Aston Kayee and Elswyk Sky collided on the first turn checking Doll’s Jakit.  Elswyk Shadow and Elswyk Sky collided approaching the home turn.  Doll’s Jakit and Aston Kayee collided on the home turn.  Doll’s Jakit was checked off Aston Kayee entering the home straight.

Blackpool Bolt was quick to begin.  Fab Rocket was slow to begin.  Blackpool Bolt crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Blackpool Flash.  Fab Rocket, Blackpool Flash and Kingy Lights collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Kingy Lights and Done Time collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight.  Fab Rocket raced wide entering the home straight.  Fargo raced wide in the home straight.

Parzival– New declared weight of 35.6 kg, last raced at 36.9 kg.

Callum’s Capers and Little Swagger were slow to begin.  Miss Demonica and Avery collided approaching the first turn.  Callum’s Capers and Parzival collided approaching the first turn checking Callum’s Capers.  Parzival and Little Swagger collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Howdy Slim and Egyptian Tiger collided on the home turn.  Callum’s Capers raced wide in the home straight.
