Steward's Report
Essential persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Lacie Rose was slow to begin. Killshot and Blackpool Homer collided approaching the first turn. Little Kevin faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Lacie Rose and Blackpool Homer collided on the first turn. Lead The Way marred Tiger Rosie in the home straight. Lead The Way galloped on Tiger Rosie in the home straight checking Tiger Rosie. Lead The Way and Tiger Rosie collided approaching the winning post.
Little Kevin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Cyclone Jenny underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have an abrasion on a left front toe. No stand down period was imposed.
Lead The Way underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Gorman, the trainer of Lead The Way regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lead The Way was charged with marring. Mrs. Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Lead The Way was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted
