The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Line Stepper with Jason Hardy and noted their comments.
You Nugget was slow to begin.
Blazin' Fury crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Line Stepper, No Way Nellie, Dusty Knight, Don't Know Jake and Mega Heist. Blazin' Fury brushed the running rail at the 200m mark. Mega Heist and Coalville Jewel collided at the 125m mark.
Due to a technical malfunction with the timing sensor, the semaphore board briefly displayed the incorrect win time for this event as 19.13; the time was amended to the official win time of 19.99 as the placings were semaphored.
Line Stepper underwent a post-race veterinary examination (frequency in racing) - no apparent injury was reported.
