Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting, and catching greyhounds.
Mrs. L. Delbridge was issued with a warning in accordance with GAR 31(1) regarding kennelling greyhounds after the appointed closing time. As a result, the kennels closed at 6:38pm.
Irish Hope was quick to begin. Winlock At Large and Aston Xavier were slow to begin.
Katari Night, Black Imani, Tinker Crest and Fish Tog Giblet collided approaching the first turn, checking Katari Night, Black Imani and Tinker Crest. Katari Night and Black Imani collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds which caused them both to race wide and lose ground as a result. Winlock At Large checked off Kazoo Giblet on the first turn. Fish Tog Giblet checked off Winlock At Large on the home turn. Irish Hope and Tinker Crest collided several times in the home straight, checking Tinker Crest.
Katari Night underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Fish Tog Giblet - the winner of the event.
