Steward's Report
Venomous Yaala– Late scratching at 08:03 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. Jason Wickham was fined $100.
Lenny's Jaggernand Sensational collided approaching the home turn checking Sensational which collided with Master Febey. Horizon Princess visibly eased entering the home straight.
Master Febey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have aspike wound to the right hock and a left groin muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Horizon Princess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined after race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock injury and left chest muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Brian Brown, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Horizon Princess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Horizon Princess was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
