All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 19.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.4 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.  

Gunai Girl was quick to begin. Lights Strike and Aston Laurent collided approaching the first turn. Bootleg Road and Top Plain collided on the first turn checking Top Plain. Lights Strike, Top Plain and Aston Laurent collided approaching the home turn. Lights Strike and Aston Laurent collided entering the home straight.

Stewards delayed the 'All Clear' to ascertain if the wildlife flying over the field in the home straight affected the running of any greyhounds. After viewing all available footage Stewards were satisified that no greyhound was affected and gave the 'All Clear'.

Cheetah Icon was slow to begin. Hasten Hilda and Crystal Rocks collided approaching the first turn. Little Angel brushes the running rail on the first turn. Real Talent raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight. Twilight Scar turned it's head inwards and marred Crystal Rocks in the home straight.

Twilight Scar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a small spike wound to the left hock. No stand down was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Sean Vantaarling the handler of Twilight Scar regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Twilight Scar was charged with marring.  Mr. Vantaarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Twilight Scar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ombra, No Jewels and Mountain Stew collided approaching the first turn checking Ombra. Ishmy Neecy and Ombra collided approaching the first turn checking Ombra. Ombra and Mountain Stew collided on the first turn checking Ombra. Ombra raced wide entering the home straight.

Tingle – New declared weight of 28.3 kg, last raced at 27.1 kg.

Denis The Menace and Mrs. Tropicana collided on the first turn checking Mrs. Tropicana. Mrs. Tropicana and Winlock At Large collided approaching the home turn checking Winlock At Large. All Inn Scooby and Winlock At Large collided on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Venomous Yaala– Late scratching at 08:03 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. Jason Wickham was fined $100.

Lenny's Jaggernand Sensational collided approaching the home turn checking Sensational which collided with Master Febey. Horizon Princess visibly eased entering the home straight.

Master Febey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have aspike wound to the right hock and a left groin muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Horizon Princess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined after race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock injury and left chest muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Brian Brown, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Horizon Princess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Horizon Princess was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blackpool Cruz – Late scratching at 08:29 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. Ronald Dunne was fined $100.

Fashion Icon and Spring Blue collided soon after the start.

Chilly Bin was slow to begin. Studley, Bold Linda, All Inn Jasper and College Degree collided approaching the first turn. All Inn Jasper clipped the heels of Zigzag Cabang on the home turn. All Inn Jasper, Studley and Zigzag Cabang collided entering the home straight causing Bold Linda to collided with All Inn Jasper. Bold Linda and Chilly Bin collided in the home straight.

College Boy, Aston Kenno, Dynamic Prince and Shanlyn Cripps collided approaching the first turn. Malicious Yaala and College Boy collided on the first turn checking Malicious Yaala. Shanlyn Cripps, Aston Kenno, and Eureka Icon collided on the first turn checking Aston Kenno. College Boy and Shanlyn Cripps collided approaching the home turn.

Awesome Asset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
