Teddy Too – New declared weight of 32.1kg, last raced at 33.2kg.
Galloping Speed was quick to begin. Smooth Talker was slow to begin. Galloping Speed and Rear View Mirror collided approaching the first turn. Lightning Fury was checked off Smooth Talker approaching the first turn. Teddy Too crossed out on the first turn, turned its head and collided with Rear View Mirror. Galloping Speed crossed out on the second turn. Smooth Talker was checked off Zipping Chew entering the back straight. Galloping Speed was checked off Teddy Too in the back straight. Teddy Too and Rear View Mirror collided on the home turn.
Galloping Speed underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Robert Conway regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Conway, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the second turn.
Teddy Too underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Shaun Hughes regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Teddy Too was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hughes pleaded guilty to the charge, Teddy Too was found guilty and suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
