Aston Nicola was quick to begin. Jebrynah Sol was slow to begin. Get Sushi Carol and Our Elly Bye collided approaching the first turn causing Get Sushi Carol to contact the running rail. Jebrynah Sol was checked off Redgum Flyer approaching the first turn. Get Sushi Carol galloped on Redgum Flyer on the first turn. Our Elly Bye galloped on My Comet on the first turn checking Our Elly Bye. Get Sushi Carol and Jebrynah Sol collided entering the home straight severely checking Get Sushi Carol. Jebrynah Sol was checked off Redgum Flyer entering the home straight.
Get Sushi Carol underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A post race sample was taken from Aston Nicola - winner of the event.
