Run Topper was quick to begin.  Starter’s King was slow to begin.  Mt. View Burner was very slow to begin (6 lengths).  Run Topper was checked off Deadly Redeemer on the first turn. Average Axel was checked off Run Topper approaching the home turn.  Average Axel and Run Topper collided on the home turn.  Deadly Redeemer and Run Topper collided in the home straight.

Mini Higgins and Ozzie Dan were quick to begin.  Afro Boy was slow to begin.  Sheila Sazs and Minnie Winnie collided soon after the start checking Sheila Sazs which stumbled.  Mini Higgins and Calypso Princess raced wide in the home straight.  Mini Higgins lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Mini Higgins underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Mini Higgins was found to have an injured left triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Loren Dalziel, the representative for Mini Higgins regarding the greyhound’s performance in the event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mini Higgins must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post race sample was taken from Ozzie Dan - winner of the event.

Magnetic Man - New declared weight of 31.9kg, last raced at 30.5kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Hurricane Pat.

Bonnie Gem was quick to begin.  Hurricane Pat was slow to begin.  Bonnie Gem was checked off Our Dreamer on the first turn and raced wide.  Laquita Star and Bonnie Gem collided approaching the home turn.  Hurricane Pat and Bonnie Gem collided on the home turn and raced wide.  Peacock clipped the heels of Sicilian on the home turn and collided with Magnetic Man.  Magnetic Man and Laquita Star collided approaching the winning post.

Shadow Jewel was slow to begin.  Bella’s Night was checked off Bomber’s Smokey soon after the start and raced wide.  Morbius and Bomber’s Smokey collided approaching the first turn.  Devon Lass and Jackie’s Lass collided on the first turn.  Morbius was checked off Bomber’s Smokey on the first turn severely checking Bella’s Night.

Big Lug underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Brad Sands regarding the greyhounds racing manners  approaching the first turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr Sands, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.

Dale From Sale was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Black Power shifted out soon after the start causing Leo Giblet and Elswyk Suzie to collide.  Dale From Sale was checked off Leo Giblet on the first turn.  Manila Shine was checked off Black Power on the first turn checking Elswyk Suzie and Mt. View Ivy.

Diamond Cartel was quick to begin.  Weeona Jack galloped on Diamond Cartel on the first turn. Diamond Cartel was checked off Weeona Jack entering the home straight checking Fidelia.

Mr. Greg Doyle failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Liberty Royal for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Golden Years – Late scratching at 2:39pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left hock injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Elswyk Jordy was quick to begin.  Almapa Sunshine was checked off Deedee’s Charm approaching the first turn.  Elswyk Jordy and Elswyk Sky collided approaching the home turn. Nitroglycerine and Elswyk Sky collided in the home straight.

Fairytale Bliss was slow to begin.  Oda May, High Priority and Alecia collided approaching the first turn.  Fairytale Bliss and High Priority collided on the first turn.  Fairytale Bliss crossed to the outside approaching the home turn.  Fairytale Bliss raced wide in the home straight.

Fairytale Bliss underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to habe left shin soreness.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

How High Austin - Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the box first endorsememt for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Just Saying was quick to begin.  Mt. View Buck was slow to begin.  Under His Spell and Captain Warrior collided soon after the start.  Under His Spell was checked off Krakatoa on the first turn checking Captain Warrior and Mt. View Buck.  Mt. View Buck was checked off Under His Spell approaching the home turn.  Krakatoa and Captain Warrior collided on the home turn. Under His Spell crossed out approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Blazin’ Jewel.

Piece Of Heaven and Kuta Cowboy were slow to begin.  Diama Miss and Go Saints Go collided soon after the start.  Diama Miss and Kuta Cowboy collided approaching the first turn checking Diama Miss.  Diama Miss was checked off Kuta Cowboy on the first turn.  Battlers Three was checked off Go Saints Go on the first turn.

Diama Miss underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising on the left metatarsal.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

My Gem - Late scratching at 3.02pm due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Mrs. Margaret Campbell informed Stewards that she had had a medical issue. Stewards advised Mrs. Campbell that evidence will need to be submitted to the Stewards satisfaction, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival.  The matter wIl be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.

Love A Collision and Carnivore were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Carnivore faltered soon after the start and subsequently tailed off.

Carnivore underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A post race sample was taken from Little Kit - winner of the event.

Concrete Fever - New declared weight of 34.0kg, last raced at 35.5kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shifting Sands.

Concrete Fever was quick to begin.  Breakaway Benji and Tinker China collided on the first turn checking Tinker China.  Speedy Lemon and Tinker China collided on the home turn.  

Stewards spoke to Mr. David Kerr and issued a warning regarding the box manners of Breakaway Benji.

Coco’s Hot - Failed to chase - Field of 4, Distance 400 metres, Weight 27.7kg, Box 1, Placed 3rd Time run 23.83 secs. Comment: Not Cleared; turned its head from first turn to home straight. A pre-trial sample was taken.

Midnight Switch - Blinkers removed - Field of 4, Distance 400 metres, Weight 29.2kg,  Box 3, Placed 2nd, Time run 23.80 secs. Comment: Cleared to race without blinkers.

Select Moss - Unsatisfactory performance - Field of 4, Distance 400 metres, Weight 26.3kg, Box 5, Placed 1st, Time run 23.19 secs. Comment: Cleared all tracks except Gawler. 

Cousin‘s Ace - Blinkers removed - Field of 4, Distance 400 metres, Weight 32.1kg, Box 8, Placed 4th, Time run 23.90 secs. Comment: Not Cleared; time unsatisfactory.
