Steward's Report
Shadow Jewel was slow to begin. Bella’s Night was checked off Bomber’s Smokey soon after the start and raced wide. Morbius and Bomber’s Smokey collided approaching the first turn. Devon Lass and Jackie’s Lass collided on the first turn. Morbius was checked off Bomber’s Smokey on the first turn severely checking Bella’s Night.
Big Lug underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Brad Sands regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Sands, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.
