Darley Lass and Bugs collided soon after the start.  Gogo Lillian and Dr. Chelsea collided approaching the first turn checking Gogo Lillian.  Dr. Chelsea, Bugs and Tidy Up Girl collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Dr. Chelsea, Bugs, Tidy Up Girl and Darley Lass.  Bugs and Dr. Chelsea collided in the home straight.

Bugs underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Formosa's Boy and Inky's Fireball were quick to begin.  Terindah Swifty was slow to begin.

Formosa's Boy visibly eased on the first turn.  Shifty Shirl checked off Faint Perfume on the home turn.

Formosa's Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4. Formosa's Boy was found to have a left chest muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Abraham Formosa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Formosa's Boy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Formosa pleaded not guilty to the charge, Formosa's Boy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Loony Luna was quick to begin.  Rival Wiggy, Halloumi and Crusoe Kid were slow to begin.

Halloumi checked off Seabrook Dow on the first turn.  Open Hearted checked off Laid Back Larry on the first turn.  Rival Wiggy and Open Hearted collided approaching the home turn.  Open Hearted visibly eased in the home straight and subsequently tailed off.

Open Hearted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.  Trainer Mr Thomas Boehmke declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Boehmke regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Open Hearted was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Open Hearted was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Irongate and Darley Dynamo were quick to begin.  Sparkle Debacle was slow to begin.

Zipping Celeste and Knock An Scratch collided on the first turn.  Oakvale Cruiser and Roxy Rum Pumper collided approaching the home turn checking Oakvale Cruiser.  Oakvale Crusier and Knock An Scratch collided approaching the home turn.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to operational issues with the Club.

Cool Story Bro went up with the lids and lost ground.  Euchre John and Bissaka Spider collided approaching the first turn checking Bissaka Spider.  Broken Boots checked off Trash on the first turn checking Rockstar Harley and Bissaka Spider.  Broken Boots and Rockstar Harley collided on the home turn.  Trash faltered entering the home straight and tailed off

Trash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
