Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Typhoon Sammy on 24.11.2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
This event was rescheduled to start at 9:47pm.
Aston Adonis was slow to begin.
Typhoon Sammy and Outlaw Ethics collided soon after the start. Shima Punga, Lala Ivory and Quintana Bale collided on the first turn checking Lala Ivory and Outlaw Ethics. Aston Adonis and Lala Ivory collided approaching the home turn. Shima Punga visably eased and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post and collided with Typhoon Sammy.
Shima Punga underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg torn nail a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Tom Dailly regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Shima Punga was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Shima Punga was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
