Steward's Report
Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at 5:46pm due to severe weather and due to continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the Warragul Greyhound Racing Club. Due to safety concerns the meeting was delayed by approximately 50 minutes and races re-scheduled accordingly.
All races were amended to the following times: Race 9 : 6:54pm, Race 10 : 7:14pm, Race 11 : 7:32pm and Race 12 : 7:48pm. Trainers and attendants with runners in races 11 and 12 were given the opportunity to retrieve their greyhounds to toilet after the running of race 9 at 6:54pm.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Booker, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Crystal Edition was slow to begin.
Doll's Jakit, Mighty Tuscany and Bomber's Smokey collided soon after the start. Bomber's Smokey crossed in approaching the first turn checking Doll's Jakit, Booker and Bubbling Betty. Urunga Bale and Doll's Jakit collided approaching the first turn. Booker, Claretown Dermot and Bomber's Smokey collided on the first turn checking Claretown Dermot and Booker.
