Madam Rosmerta, Gyarados and Duck Duck Dash were slow to begin.
Sweet Suzie and Ravenna Bale collided approaching the first turn. Ravenna Bale checked off Bill Bob Lad on the first turn checking Gyarados and Duck Duck Dash. Madam Rosmerta and Ravenna Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Ravenna Bale. Ravenna Bale and Duck Duck Dash collided on the home turn severely checking Ravenna Bale. Gyarados Bale checked off Coconino entering the home straight.
Ravenna Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right triangle and right groin muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Bill Bob Lad - the winner of the event.
